1. What is Ziing?

Ziing is a platform powered by Investment One Financial Services designed to ease investing, savings, making payments and other financial services.

Investment One Financial Services (formerly GTB Asset Management) is licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), with subsidiaries licensed by the Nigerian Stock Exchange NSE, and the Nigerian Pensions Commission PENCOM to provide Funds/Portfolio Management Services, Trust Services, Securities Brokerage, Pension Fund administration and Financial Advisory services to individual and corporate clients.

Ziing is different because it is a user friendly partner built solely with you in mind. Ziing also aims to be your one stop shop for all your investment needs.  Think stocks, automated target savings, emergency funds and fixed income investments.

Ziing takes away the hassle from your daily financial activities while simultaneously growing your wealth.

We believe every kobo of yours should be constantly working for you every day and we’re on a mission to make that happen.

On Ziing, you can set time bound goals and automate deductions from your bank account to help you meet them. You can also trade on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

You can place large sums of money for extended tenures, earn interest on an active savings account, monitor set goals, make payments, etc.

After downloading the app,

Enter your first name, last name, email address, phone number and Date of Birth.

Subsequently you will be required to upload a picture (selfie), a copy of a valid means of identification (International passport, driver’s license, national identity card or permanent voters card) and a utility bill not older than 3 months. You will also be required to update your BVN.

After downloading the app, you will be prompted to sign up with your account number and easytrade password.

Enter your BVN, Date of Birth and an OTP that will be sent to your phone number and email. Subsequently you can login with either your phone number or email address and your easytrade password.

Absolutely.

Ziing is powered by Investment One Financial Services which is regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the apex capital market regulatory body.

What this means is that all underlying investments are regulated, registered and reported to SEC.

All payments are also processed through a PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant payment processor so your details are protected at all times.

Interest on your zPlan and zSave accounts are earned daily.

Interest accrued for zPlan is credited at the end of your specified tenure, whilst your zSave account is credited at the end of the month.

Your money is primarily invested in money market instruments such as treasury bills, commercial papers, bonds and placements.

Yes.

Transfers from your accounts with us to your bank accounts domiciled in other banks except GTB will incur a N52.50 charge.

This will be deducted from your principal upon completion of the withdrawal request.

It takes 24hours for your documents to be reviewed and account verified, however, deposits can be made into your zPlan and zSave accounts during the period.

A notification would be sent to you once your account is fully set up.

We require your BVN as part of a wider AML/CFT (Anti Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism) framework that we, a financial institution adhere to. This is also in line with requirements by our regulators. 

This is also required to ensure that your withdrawals are seamless, secure and swift.

We need additional documents as part of KYC (Know Your Customer) regulatory requirements. You will not be able to perform certain transactions above a certain limit until your account is fully verified.

Yes. The app can be downloaded on more than one device.

Android and IOS devices.

Deposits

1. How do I deposit money?

Deposits into your investments can be done through the following methods.

Naira Debit Card: Simply link the naira debit card from any Nigerian bank to your account. Once this is done, deposits will be automatically or by tapping a button.

Your payments are processed through a PCI-DSS compliant processor so you can be rest assured that your card details are protected at all times.

*737#: Deposits into your zSave account can be done by dialing *737*50*amount*356#. This method is available for only GTBank account holders.

Bank Transfer: A unique account number will be generated for you. Simply transfer the exact amount to the account number with the stipulated time frame (10 minutes.)

GTBank: This allows you deposit funds directly from your GTBank account. It’s as simple as entering the amount you want to deposit and validating with your GTB token.

GTB Mobile Banking: Through any of GTBank’s online platforms, you can also make a deposit into your zSave account.

Ziing will only make automated deductions based on your current account balance at the designated time period. Your account will not be debited after that time period and you will always be notified when we are unable to save or invest on your behalf.

Withdrawals

1. How do I withdraw money?

Withdrawals can be made from any of your investments into your registered bank account. You will have to add the bank account you want to send money to and create a transaction pin to authorize withdrawals going forward.

Yes. Your zSave account can be used to fund different goals on your zPlan. Free of charge.

However, a transfer from your zPlan before the due date will be seen as a withdrawal and a penalty (25% of accrued interest) will be applied.

Withdrawals from your zSave and zPlan accounts are instant up to the sum of one million naira (N1,000,000). Withdrawals greater than one million naira will be processed within five hours of receiving the request on working days.

Requests received during the weekends will be processed on the following working day.

We realize that in life sometimes the unexpected happens and we have made provisions for that.

You’ll be able to withdraw funds from only your zPlan but a surcharge (25%) on your accrued interest will be applied.

Your principal will remain intact. You cannot partially liquidate the funds in your running goals.

There are no bank charges on withdrawals from your zPlan goals.

Upon maturity of a goal in your zPlan account, the proceeds (principal + interest) are automatically credited to your zSave account. Upon maturity of your fixed income, funds are sent either directly to your bank account or rolled over at prevailing market rates. This option will be determined by you upon initial setting up of the investment.

Withdrawals from your account to a GTBank account are free.

Withdrawals into a non-GTB bank accounts will attract charges. Please see breakdown below.

Yes!

Transfers can be made from your zSave account using the beneficiary’s phone number or email address. The beneficiary will receive the funds in their zSave account.

KYC Verification
1. What documents can I upload?

Passport – A well-lit selfie showing your face is required here. Please note that selfies with some form of headgear (face caps, scarves, etc.) will not be approved.

Signature – A clear picture of your signature on a white background is required.

Proof of Residence – The following documents can be used as a valid utility bill on Ziing. Land use charge receipt, Tenancy agreement, waste bill receipt (not older than 3 months), rent receipt, electricity bill, valid affidavit stating address, and a letter of identification from your employers (Military/Civil Servants) or community leaders.

Identity Card – A valid ID card; International Passport, National ID Card, NIMC Slip or Card, Permanent Voters Card, Driver’s License) is acceptable.

All documents should be uploaded in a picture format (JPEG, JPG or PNG)

All documents uploaded on Ziing are verified within 24 hours. You will be notified when your documents are approved. When documents are rejected, you will be notified with the reasons for the rejection as well and you will be able to re-upload the right documents.

Stock Trading
1. How do I signup to begin trading?

The sign up process is simple. Simply ensure that you have updated your KYC documents beforehand (Utility Bill, Passport photo, valid ID card and signature).

Next you will be required to answer a series of questions and your details will be sent for review.

Opening a stockbroking account takes anywhere between 2 – 3 working days. This is the time required for a CSCS account to be opened for you. You will be notified when this is done.

Investment One Stockbrokers International is the stock broker for all trading accounts opened on Ziing.

A brokerage account in your name is held with Investment One. All purchase or sale orders are also executed on your behalf by Investment One Stockbrokers International.

Everybody. It is advisable you know your risk profile and investment objectives before investing.

This is because investing in the stock market carries a considerable amount of risk. You may lose some or all of your capital

No. Prices of shares traded on the stock exchange fluctuate daily. This in turn affects the value of the shares you own. As a result, they can appreciate or depreciate over time.

As a rule of thumb, we advise only buying fundamentally sound stocks and taking a long term approach in general.

Yes. After each successful purchase or sale of stock, a contract note will be sent to your registered email address.

Yes. However, trades can only be cancelled from 4pm to 7am on working days.

No. You will only be able to withdraw funds three working days after a sale was made (T+3).

Simply walk into your bank and ask for an e-dividend form. Some of the details you will need are your CSCS number and the shares in question.

SEC Fee: 0.3% of consideration

Brokerage Commission: 1.35% of consideration

VAT on Brokerage: 0.075% of consideration.

Stamp Duties: 0.075% of consideration.

Stamp Duties: 0.075% of consideration.

TOTAL: 2.025%

Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) charges a fee(X-Alert) of N4.00 on all clients’ transactions.

 

zClub
1. What is zClub?

zClub is a savings club that aims to promote positive saving habits, incentivize users and randomly reward consistent savers.

This is done using a block based system. More blocks indicate better saving habits.

The interest rate on funds in your zClub is 5.2% per annum. This is paid bi-weekly (On the 15th and last day of every month). Interest is also paid back into your zClub account.

The minimum amount investible is N5,000. For first time users, you will not be able to subscribe for less than 5 blocks. Subsequently, additional blocks can be bought in multiples of N1,000.

As part of efforts to promote a healthy savings culture, every month consistent savers will be randomly selected to earn a bonus. The draw date is when this selection and payment is made.

Yes.

While the selection is purely random, certain other factors come into play that increase your chances of earning the bonus. The number of blocks you have at any given time, and frequency of contributions.

zSave
1. What is the minimum amount investible?

The minimum amount that can be invested in your zSave account is N100.

No. Funds don’t have to remain in your account for any specified time period before you can have access to them.

No. Your zSave is designed to function like a normal savings account. You can remove and add money freely. No penalties, no forfeiture of interest, no hassle.

The interest rate is 4% per annum.

Interest on your account is accrued daily but credited at the end of the month.

You can pay bills (DSTV, ELECTRICITY, etc.), buy airtime and transfer money to other bank accounts.

Yes. Utility bills payments and transfer services attract their customary charges. E.g. You will be charged N52.50 for every transfer to a non GTB account.

zPlan
1. What is the minimum amount investible?

The minimum amount that can be invested in your zPlan account is N100.

A goal can be set for nothing less than 30 days.

The interest rate is 4% – 10% per annum. This is paid at the end of your selected tenure alongside your capital. Also note that locked goals offer a higher interest rate than unlocked goals.

Unlocked Goals

  • 0 – 60 days (1 – 2 months) – 4%
  • 61 – 180 days (2 – 6 months) – 6%.
  • 181 – 365 days (6 – 12 months) – 7.5%
  • Above 365 days (1 year and above) – 9%

Locked Goals

  • 0 – 60 days (1 – 2 months) – 4.5%
  • 61 – 180 days (2 – 6 months) – 6.5%.
  • 181 – 365 days (6 – 12 months) – 8%
  • Above 365 days (1 year and above) – 10%

Upon your goals due date, your funds (principal + interest) are transferred automatically into your zSave account.

Yes. You can have multiple goals running at the same time.

A goal is paused when it’s status is switched from active to inactive. During this period, automated deductions on your account are put on hold. Your interest rate on the other hand keeps on accruing throughout this period.

A withholding Tax (10% of interest earned) is charged and remitted on behalf of user. This is a regulatory requirement. All deposits and withdrawals into your zPlan account are completely free.

You can fund any of your goals either from your debit card, your zSave account or a bank transfer.

25% of accrued interest is charged on goals liquidated before the maturity date

No, a locked goal can only be accessed at maturity

Fixed Income
1. What is the minimum amount investible?

The minimum amount that can be invested into a fixed income is N100,000.

The minimum tenure for any fixed income investment is one month.

Upon your fixed income maturity, your funds will be sent to either your bank account or rolled over at the current market rates for the same tenure. This option will be determined by the user upon initial creation of the goal.

Yes.

You can have multiple investments running at the same time.

No.

You will not be able to add funds to an already existing investment. However, you can have multiple investments running simultaneously.

Yes.

Transfer charges of N52.50 occur when redeeming your matured investments to a non-GTB bank account.

You can fund your investments from your debit card or zSave account or via bank transfer.

Your fixed income investments can be liquidated before the due date, however a pre termination charge (25% of accrued interest will be applied)

Fixed income investments can also only be redeemed in full.

Asset-Backed Loans
1. What is an asset-backed loan?

An Asset-Backed loan is an instant digital loan secured by your asset (Abacus, zPlan, stocks, VGIF, and Medium term notes) on Ziing for users who meet the loan’s eligibility criteria.

You can request for an Asset-Backed loan by logging into the Ziing app and clicking on the loan product on your dashboard.

Yes, you need to have a Ziing account and a qualifying asset on Ziing.

The Asset-Backed loan tenor is between 1 – 12 months.

The interest rate of Asset-Backed loans is 1.67% per month.

There are no other charges aside the interest rate.

The maximum amount you can get access to is 80% of your qualifying asset on Ziing. However, the minimum loan amount you can borrow is N50,000 (fifty thousand naira only) and the maximum loan amount is N20,000,000 (twenty million naira only).

Your eligibility can be affected if you do not have a qualifying Asset to back your loan on Ziing. You can get an Asset-Backed loan with a minimum asset of N65,000.

Your bank account will be credited within 3 working hours after your request is successful.

You can request for one Asset-Backed loan at a time. Subsequent requests can be made after complete repayment of the last Asset-Backed loan.

You are expected to repay your Asset-Backed loan on or before the tenor expiration date. You can choose to pay monthly until the end of the tenor, or pay the total amount at the end of the loan tenor.

Yes, you can pre-liquidate your Asset-Backed loans without charges at any time.

There is an option for monthly repayment or bullet repayment (all at once).

The automated repayment mandate will remain active until the loan maturity date. At maturity, your investment will be liquidated to offset the outstanding principal and interest. 

Asset-Backed loans is the only digital loan product on Ziing at the moment. However, you can get access to more loan options from Orange One Finance such as:

  •     Local Purchase Order (LPO) Financing
  •     Invoice Discounting
  •     Asset Finance and many more

Referrals

How do I get a referral code?

A unique referral code has already been generated for you. Simply navigate to the Personal Details section in the app.

Yes.

An email notification will be sent to you when your code is used. However, your bonus will only be due when your referral deposits a minimum of N1,000

Upon your fixed income maturity, your funds will be sent to either your bank account or rolled over at the current market rates for the same tenure. This option will be determined by the user upon initial creation of the goal.

Please note that your rewards are only credited when your referral makes a deposit of at least N1000 on the app.

This is valid for a month after the referral was made. As a result, kindly ensure that you refer people who are genuinely interested in saving and investing.

All referral bonuses are paid at the end of the month into your ZSave account.
